Old curtains do not have to sit in the closet for too long. They can be used for so many practical uses. Instead of throwing them away or keeping them locked in place for decades, here are some tips to consider:

Turn Them into Pillowcases
Pillows can be used in beds, cushions, floor spaces, chairs, and many others. You can cover each of these pillows with cases made out of old curtains. The old fabrics should have enough area to cover as many pillows as possible. All you need is a sewing machine and some sewing skills as well.

Hide Boxes and Storage
Old curtains can provide great cover for messy storage units, boxes, toys, and other unsightly stuff. You may use a rod to hold the curtains in place or simply spread them over the storage units. You may even use them to cover tables and other flat surfaces.
